The Holidays Are Here and . . .

I have never been one to send out greeting cards during the Holidays. And I stopped sending birthday and anniversary cards a long time ago too. The primary reason I never sent Holiday cards is because they are too expensive, and it is time consuming to address all those cards. Besides, even though I have managed to collect tons of business cards over the years, I have never taken the time to put all that contact information into one central location . . . until recently.

Since late summer/early fall, I have become an avid card sender because my son is away at Marine Corps boot camp. It is so much easier, not to mention fun, to send him a quick card of encouragement on the days when I don’t write him a letter. My 72 year old Mom has even been sending him real cards, with a real stamp, delivered by the post office, using the computer. Not only is it economical in terms of saving money by not having to drive to the store and the post office (think rising gas prices), but the cards we send cost less than what the stores are offering! Furthermore, it’s SO easy to do!

If you want to find out how you can save a lot of money and time this Holiday season by using your computer to send REAL cards, there are two sites you can visit for more information. You can get in-depth details by visiting The Card Thing, and you are welcome to try the system for yourself, at my expense.  You can send 2 cards to anyone you’d like by going to SendOutCards. Just click the banner that has the photo of me and Les Brown on it, make sure your speakers are on, and pop-up blockers are disabled.

If you have any problems getting to my SendOutCards site, or simply have questions you can’t find the answer to, please don’t hesitate to contact me using the Skype button on the lower right side of this site. Sending a chat message first is advisable as I may be temporarily away from the computer and wouldn’t hear you calling.

Enjoy the Holidays!
